About Me

My name is Mark Narramore and this section is about you getting to know me. I was born in Brixham, Devon and now live in Newton Abbot, Devon, with my wife Lynn of 27 years, my 2 daughters and our family dog Bailey.
I'm a friendly kind of person , with a sense of humour that can be described as odd and quirky at times .Apart from photography, my hobbies are music, walking our dog and football. I have played and been involved with my local amateur football team Broadhempston for about 32 years now and at present I'm the reserve team manager.
I'm currently using a Canon EOS 7D, after upgrading from the Canon 450d and before that in my younger days, I had a Praktica MTL5, which I know wasn't top of the range stuff, but it took good photos and stood me in good stead for the learning experience of photography. I consider myself to be extremely fortunate to have a hobby like photography because of the natural beauty where I live that is Devon, you can drive/walk no more than 40 minutes to numerous stunning locations including: numerous beaches, moors, castles, churches and inland rivers to name but a few. sometimes I feel embarrassed to say, I have never been to most of them, but now making up for lost time and discovering these hidden gems.
I would like to dedicate this next paragraph to my late good friend Dave Low who passed away suddenly. I owe him so much, from his words of wisdom when I needed them, to his love of life/company and to him for introducing me to his passion of photography. I inspire to be as good as him and will continue my photography as a tribute to his time and energy he put in to help me. He will be sorely missed by myself and many.
